BRIDGEVILLE, PA —OKW has launched an innovative and elegant new SLIM-CASE for the latest generation of handheld touch- screen and wireless data transfer devices. Ergonomic SLIM-CASE (IP54/65) products are suitable for measuring and control, wire- less communications, IoT/IIoT, healthcare, laboratory, office, safety engineering, and environmental technology. The series’ low- profile and virtually frameless design makes it compact and comfortable to hold, while providing plenty of space for PCBs, plug con- nectors, interfaces, and sensors. Six versions are available. They offer the
choice of a smooth top, a 0.04 in. (1 mm) recessed top for product labels and 0.06 in. (1.6 mm) recessed top for a touchscreen or membrane keypad. Each is avail- able either with or without a soft- touch TPE intermediate ring (IP54) for added comfort and impact protection. All six versions have soft con-
tours for enhanced ergonomics and optimum aesthetics. They can

PERRY, OH — TT Electronics has launched its FibreFix, an inline mechanical splice for fiber optic system repair in harsh environments. The simple-to- install nature of the FibreFix solution provides significant sav- ings in repair time and complex- ity by eliminating the need to remove and replace the damaged fiber optic cable or harness from an operating land defense, aero- space or rail vehicle. Through its lightweight
design and the small number of constituent parts used in each splice, reassembly is quick and easy. Reinstating the original installation’s full mechanical integrity and high optical per- formance can be completed in less than 20 minutes. This latest development in
the TT Electronics interconnect portfolio leverages existing stan- dard tooling and training which

accommodate inductive charging (with the cor- rect coil) and NFC technology (with Qi charg- ers). Power can be supplied by a flat battery mounted on the PCB. SLIM-CASE is available in one plan size and two heights. Inside there are PCB mounting pillars in
both the top and base. The enclosures are molded from robust and UV-stable ASA/PC- FR (UL 94 V-0) for indoor and outdoor use. For added security, the enclosures are assembled using Torx T8 stainless steel screws. The cases’
