OSAGE BEACH, MO — Nihon Superior’s senior technical advisor Keith Sweatman has received an honorable mention from the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) for the “Best of Proceedings” award at SMTA International 2020. The members of the conference technical committee selected his paper, “Behavior and Strengthening Effects of Sb in a Low Bi-Sn-Cu Alloy.” The paper was selected on the basis that it rep- resented the integrity and technical quality for which the SMTA Inter- national program is known. The work in the paper is part of an ongoing program of research directed at the development of lead-free solders and the improvement of their reliability in harsh environments.
