Alpharetta, GA — IPTE plans to par- ticipate in the “Future Packaging” production line at SMTconnect 2019.

equipment. The integrated IPTE components

loader, conveyors,

include bareboard turn units,

buffers, workstations, and a multi- magazine loader/unloader, MLL 3P/MLU 3P. The company will demonstrate

a laser marker, the FlexMarker II, which can apply 2D codes, graphics and logos to both sides of each prod- uct. IPTE will also show the pro- gramming and testing of products using its Easy Test Handler (ETH) and MFT 19 Multifunctional Test

Handler. The test handlers are set up as a parallel tester. The company is also offering a new, faster, spindle- driven ETH. The MFT 19 can inte- grate ICT equipment as well as 19 in. (48.3 cm) rack and stack equipment. In-circuit or functional test, as

well as programming processes can be automated inline with IPTE’s ETH. The ETH is practical for use with single-circuit boards, multiple boards or corresponding carriers for circuit boards. Both, single- or dou- ble-sided fixtures can be realized.

The fixtures can be changed quickly and easily. For optional parallel use of more than one test handler, the test handler can be equipped with a bypass segment, providing uninter- rupted production. The bypass can be

used to optimize cycle times. Contact: IPTE USA, 5935 Shiloh

WhisperTeach From BPM Can Reduce Manual Teach Points By 94%

Houston, TX — BPM Microsystems is now offering its WhisperTeach+™ programming solution, which won a new product introduction award ear- lier this year at IPC APEX 2019. WhisperTeach+ automates z-height and socket locations, speeding set up time without sacrificing quality. With WhisperTeach+, operator

involvement during job set up is radi- cally improved, reducing manual teach points by 94 percent for a machine with a standard tape-in/tape- out and 48 programming sockets. The operator teaches the input

and output locations using Whisper - Teach™, then manually places a devices in the first socket, and exe- cutes the WhisperTeach+ command to begin the auto-teach process. The pick nozzle then moves to

this first socket location and auto- matically detects the top of the device in the socket, accurate to with- in 0.6 mil (15 µm), and “learns” x, y and theta. Auto-teach then contin- ues, populating and teaching each remaining socket. As each site is taught, the programming process begins immediately. With the typical scenario

described, teach points are reduced from 50 to three. WhisperTeach and WhisperTeach+ are only available with BPM automated programming

systems. Contact: BPM Microsystems,
