custom flat cable. The cable configu- rator works seamlessly on all Apple and Android devices. With a few simple mouse clicks
or touch of a screen, flat cables can be constructed of multiple elements, including power/signal conductors, shielded pairs, video, data, or coax wires, and tubing for liquid or air. To make the process even simpler, Cicoil has added industry-standard modules, including Camera Link®, Cat 6A, FireWire, and USB 3.0, to the configurator. As the user clicks any of the
many available elements, items dy - namically appear in the “Cable Build”

Diodes Inc. Offers Low Power PCIe 4.0 Clocks
Plano, TX — Diodes Inc. has intro- duced automotive-compliant PCI Ex - press (PCIe) 4.0 clock generators and buffers designed with advanced fea- tures for demanding applications, such as head units, ECUs, ADAS, nav- igation, telematics, and infotainment. The PI6CG182Q, PI6CG184Q,
PI6CG188Q (PCIe 4.0 clock genera- tors) and PI6CB184Q (PCIe 4.0 clock buffers) provide differential
low-
power, high-speed current steering logic (HCSL) outputs with on-chip ter- mination. They’re designed to gener- ate and distribute a reference clock signal for chipsets employing PCIe Gen 4 interfaces. The devices are all qualified to AEC-Q100 Grade 2, with an operating temperature range of –40 to +221°F (–40 to +105°C), suitable for any automotive PCIe application. Operating at 1.8V and with
integrated on-chip termination at every HCSL output, the devices min- imize power consumption and re - move the need for external resistors. Designers would otherwise need to add four resistors per output pair, or up to 32 resistors for an eight-output device, and lose power through the external resistors. Each output also includes its own enable pin to further improve power management on out- puts that are unused. The devices are based on Diodes’
proprietary PLL technology, proven in millions of products worldwide. This design includes a number of advanced features, including programmable out- put slew rate and amplitude, and selectable spread-spectrum on differ- ential outputs to help minimize EMI. This can be particularly helpful when designing for an automotive environ- ment. These clocks were developed with the automotive manufacturing environment in mind, so wettable- flank QFN packages have been used to ensure compatibility with automated
visual inspection. Contact: Diodes, Inc., 4949

area. Clear, simple graphics show the AWG wire size, insulation color, and wire type, making it easy to identify exactly what is in the flat cable. Cable dimensions change dynamically, allowing the user to build cables up to 3.75 in. (9.5 cm) wide, with wider cables available by request. An isometric cable view and
parts list is also built dynamically. Any of Cicoil’s configurator elements can be combined in any position within the flat cable profile, which means that over one million flat cable designs are available for imme- diate production and quick delivery. Elements can be quickly repositioned
or deleted from the cable. Once the flat cable is designed,
the configurator compiles it and gen- erates a drawing, quote and custom part number, and delivers it by e- mail. Cicoil guarantees delivery within two weeks for any cable designed using the cable configura- tor, with a 100 ft (30.5m) minimum cable length required. A guided tour of the configurator is also offered on
the website. Contact: Cicoil Corp., 24960
