Tualatin, OR — CUI’s Power Group today announced the addition of 3 and 5W models to its line of low-power, encapsulated AC-DC power supplies. Available in board mount, chassis mount, wire lead, and DIN rail config- urations, the single-output PSKS3 and PSKS5B series are housed in compact packages as small as 1.46 x 0.97 x 0.71 in. (37 x 24.5 x 18 mm), making them well-suited for space- constrained, low-power ITE, industri- al control, automation, and consumer electronics applications. Designed for easy installation, the wire lead PSKS3L and PSKS5BL series, chas- sis mount PSKS3T and PSKS5BT series, and DIN rail mount PSKS3DIN and PSKS5BDIN series afford engineers additional options for simpler design implementation. These encapsulated modules

provide 4 kVAC input-to-output isola- tion, a universal input voltage range of 85 to 264 VAC, and a wide operat- ing temperature range from –40 to +158°F (–40 to +70°C). The series also offers single output voltages of 3.3, 5, 9, 12, 15, and 24 VDC, along with over-current, over-voltage and

continuous short circuit protections. All models are certified to the

new IEC 62368-1 safety standard for ICT and AV equipment, while meet- ing CISPR32/EN55032 Class A lim-

South Chesterfield, VA — ept’s new Colibri high-speed connector is now available in both 10 and 16 Gb/s ver- sions. This new board-to-board con- nector was developed by ept in response to the ever-increasing mar- ket demand for connectors suitable for sophisticated high-speed trans- mission applications such as USB 3.1 Gen2 and PCI Express 4.0. The Colibri COM Express has a compact design with a 0.02 in. (0.5 mm) pitch. Like the 10 Gb/s version, the new

high-speed version is available for a board-to-board distance of 0.2 or 0.3 in. (5 or 8 mm). Both the plugs and receptacles are available for pin counts of 40, 80, 120, 160, 200, and 220. There also is a 440-pin version, which is made up of two 220-pin plugs or receptacles held together by a sol- dering frame. The 16 Gb/s version is compatible with the Colibri standard version in terms of layout and mating. The Colibri high-speed connec- tors are suited for all types of appli-

cations that require high data trans- fer rates. This, in particular, includes mezzanine board-to-board systems

and COM Express specifications. The small, high-speed pro devices are already being used in a wide variety of areas, such as in industrial automation, kiosk and POS systems, medical technology, measurement technology, consumer electronics and gaming, as well as in transportation

and building technology. Contact: ept, Inc., 1624 Ashton

AOS Continues to Expand EZBuck Family

Sunnyvale, CA — Alpha and Omega Semiconductor (AOS) has expanded its EZBuck™ series with the AOZ66 62DI- 01 and AOZ6663DI-01 — high-efficien- cy, simple-to-use, synchronous buck regulators. The AOZ66 62DI-01 and AOZ6663DI-01 are both available in a thermally enhanced DFN 3x3 exposed pad package, delivering output cur- rents of 2A and 3A, respectively. The new devices offer a low on-

resistant power stage, allowing cooler power conversion for a variety of con- sumer electronics application such as LCD TVs and set-top boxes, as well as DVD players and recorders. The low on-resistance of the internal power MOSFETs in these devices allows higher efficiency and less heat genera- tion. They have over 90 percent effi-

ciency at full load operation and main- tain 87 percent efficiency while in 10 mA light load operation. When operating in low output

current conditions, the device will run in a proprietary pulse energy mode (PEM) to obtain high efficiency. Under heavy load steady-state conditions, the device will operate in a fixed frequency and Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM). The small standby current, combined with a thermally enhanced package provides excellent efficiency

and thermal performance. Contact: Alpha and Omega
