Greer, SC — Creform Corporation has designed a stepped ESD flow rack as part of an overall evaluation of new accessories and options for a longstanding customer. The rack has four levels for product presentation. Each of the four levels has three lanes, while the top level allows the empty container to be returned to the service aisle. The flow rack is built with ESD


light gray pipe and nickel-plated metal joints per the assembler’s anti- static requirement. Each of the flow rack’s lanes include Creform’s ESD skatewheel conveyor rollers. The rack’s lanes have physical


separators on both sides, so boxes are contained and separated as they flow


smoothly. Each supply lane has an extra angle at the picking position for enhanced view and for easier compo- nent selection. Label holders for each lane are included for the front and back to ensure accurate loading and accurate picking. With the stair-stepped design,


each level can be raised or lowered without changing the length of the conveyor. This greatly simplifies ad- justment when needed. The rack and its levels can be repositioned with simple tools. The supply lanes have an EF-


2018 pivoting stop (an anti-back de- vice). This gravity “stopper” allows material to be loaded unimpeded and then flips up to keep the container


securely in its lane. The swing arm of the EF-2018 rests in the up position. The flow rack has six heavy-duty stem casters, which allow for ease of movement and relocation. The flow rack pictured meas-


ures 70 x 77 x 46 in. (178 x 196 x 117 cm) and is designed to hold up to 800 lb (363 kg). Higher-capacity, custom rack sizes and configurations are also available. Creform flow racks are available as a kit or an assem- bled structure or in the component form for a complete DIY solution. They are suitable for warehouse or manufacturing plant use and are used to present production parts to a manufacturing cell, assembly line or use for order picking or kitting.
