Analytics and performance — management and visibility. In this area, analysis of production and quality management are carried out, among other tasks. Systems such as the
iTAC.MES.Suite offer enhanced analytics capabilities. Parameters that significantly influence quality are identified and monitored during production. In addition, iTAC pro- vides customers with a predictive maintenance solution to constantly monitor the condition of a facility and better plan maintenance activities.
Product suite extensions. Like the
iTAC.MES.Suite, there should be a homogenous software basis. This means that new upgrades and releases will take place globally across all users. Changes to the fac- tory layout, standard clients and functions should be freely config- urable according to the require- ments. iTAC also offers the option of creating individual clients and solu- tions as addons to the basic software solution and provides the customer with a development framework, as well as integration options for HTML5 clients and microservices.
Integration — ERP, SCM, PDM, and PLM. The connection of ERP, PLM and other management sys- tems is a standard requirement. The simple integration with correspon- ding configurable interfaces should be given.
Architecture, usability and user interfaces. A modern MES is archi- tecturally based on standards. In addi- tion to architecture and functional characteristics, strategic concepts such as SaaS and cloud models play a role. This can reduce investment costs for application software and IT infra- structure, as well as lower the total cost of ownership (TCO).
The core functionalities are then
expanded by other features, such as resource management, manufacturing process management, operations intel- ligence and production planning or advanced planning and scheduling. Integrated IoT/IIoT solutions round off the system. The drive- based 840D SL CNC control from Siemens provides sufficient perform- ance even for five-axis simultaneous machining and opens up a wide range of options for the compact machine. With the addition of an
automation module, the machine can be turned into a complete pro- duction system. Fitted with a dedi- cated control and operating system, the machine offers extensive capa- bilities for flexible finishing and machining.
A robot cell can be mounted on a
supply module and placed next to the machining module. The articulated robot arm can serve up to three mach - ining systems arranged around it.
In the smallest upgrade stage,
which includes a Micro one and the automation cell, a 19.4 ft2 (1.8m2) space is required. The three-machine arrangement requires about 73 ft2 (6.8m2).
