“Modern-Day Edison” Joins SEMICON West Keynote Lineup

Soldering and Substrate Technology Days
Nuremberg, Germany — Two new technology days at SMTconnect, to be held from May 7 to 9, 2019, in Nuremberg, Germany, are scheduled to host 35 world-class speakers who will offer insight into soldering and substrates. Four seminars and four special sessions will be held in English, focusing on the topics of assembly and joining. “Soldering — Challenges in
Practice,” is the first technology day and will include a 90-minute seminar titled, “Implementation of a Low Melting Point Soldering Alloy in Electronics Assembly.” The second technology day will
continue with two three-hour semi- nars on “Reliability of Solder Joints” and “DFM for Advanced Manufac - turing.”

seminars, the second technology day, “Substrates — Important Carriers for Components,” will offer informative seminars on substrate technologies. In a 90-minute seminar, participants will learn about recent advancements in thin- and thick-film technology. In addition to the four English
