Grödig, Austria — Two major topics at the AdoptSMT booth at SMTcon- nect 2019 will be the acquisition of label supplier Nortec Group by CCL Design and AdoptSMT’s step-in serv- ice for older SIPLACE machines, which have been discontinued by the manufacturer. Since 2019, the company has
been working closely with Nortec Group, a manufacturer of industrial labels and masking products. CCL Design acquired Nortec in June 2018 and is continuing its close sales coop- eration with AdoptSMT. CCL Design is part of CCL Industries, which in- cludes Avery Zweckform with office products and Checkpoint with RFID solutions for retail businesses.

and prints labels from standard ma- terials, but also coats label materials and manufactures customer-specific labels with special multilevel securi- ty systems. By using other printing techniques in addition to thermal transfer printing, AdoptSMT is now able to supply multi-color, preprinted labels for the high-temperature, rugged market, meeting precise cus- tomer-specific color specifications. AdoptSMT continues to sell
CCL polyimide masking materials and has been able to expand its port- folio, especially for small masking la- bels with or without peel-off lugs. As a Hover-Davis distributor for DACH and many other European markets,
AdoptSMT continues to ensure trou- ble-free automated label mounting on PCBs. With Hover-Davis also sell- ing CCL labels with the Axium Media Presenter in other markets, the three-way relationship between AdoptSMT, Hover-Davis and CCL has become even stronger. AdoptSMT is now offering serv-
ice for discontinued ASM SIPLACE systems, including the HF, HS, S, F, and C series. The company has many parts in stock for these machine gener- ations. Suppliers for premium parts have been established. Within the scope of the AdoptSMT RENEW pro- gram, the company repairs and over- hauls a broad range of major assem- blies, such as placement heads, cam-
