l The UN International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) was established in 1946 to help all the children affected by WorldWar II. In 1953 it changed its name to the UN Children’s Fund but is still called UNICEF. Today itworks to save children’s lives around the world and to help children achieve their potential.
l The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a document that outlines the rights that every person should have. It was adopted by the UN General Assembly on 10 December 1948.
