Safety walk rounds
Pati ent safety walk rounds are an opportunity for the executi ve team to visit wards, departments and groups of staff that cover multi ple areas in the Trust, to promote pati ent safety. The walk rounds give frontline staff and pati ents an opportunity to talk directly to members of the executi ve team about quality and safety, and best practi ce, and also show them the work they have done.
Last year the executi ves took part in over 100 pati ent safety walk rounds. These generated a number of acti ons to help improve the quality and safety of our services.
Governor walk rounds
Our public governors and members of our governance team do regular walk rounds that cover as many diff erent shift s as possible. Their visits increase awareness of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards throughout the Trust, provide the opportunity for governors to meet staff and pati ents, and help identi fy areas of good practi ce.
15 Steps
The 15 step challenge focuses on seeing care through a pati ent or carer's eyes and exploring their fi rst impressions.
