A Level DANCE Overview of subject:
A Level Dance is a dynamic and multifaceted course that develops an academic approach to the study of dance in theory and practice. The course includes performance, choreography, dance analysis and dance history. Students explore the development of dance during two periods and set works associated with these, as well as creating and performing work for both groups and solo dancers.

Why choose the subject? Dance is a high energy, creative subject that explores both past and current practitioners, providing an excellent link into the industry, current trends and dance practice. A Level Dance does not simply encourage students into a career within performing or choreography, though the A Level is excellently suited to such future plans, it also provides the skills necessary for further study in a research or literature based degree.
