Careers Education in the Sixth Form is built around the development of personal and employability skills through a range of provision:
Ÿ The tutor programme Ÿ The enrichment curriculum Ÿ Work Experience Ÿ School Service Ÿ Distinguished Speakers Programme
Access to Higher Education is supported in the Sixth Form through the following provision:
Ÿ Visits to local and regional HE conventions, including those organised by UCAS;
Ÿ Extensive use of Unifrog, an online tool which supports students in selecting appropriate university courses and compiling their personal statements;
Ÿ Parent and student briefings about UCAS and student finance;
Ÿ Tutor support with writing personal statements and providing references;
Ÿ Individual guidance is also regularly provided to students by the Sixth Form team as and when required.
