PROPERTY Redevelopment at intu takes shape

The redevelopment at intu Broadmarsh is gaining momentum with space being created inside the centre for The Light’s nine- screen cinema by moving the centre management office to new premises. The intu Broadmarsh team will

now be based at Severn’s House on Middle Pavement - owned by intu and Nottingham City Council – following an extensive refurbishment delivered by Chamber member Bowmer & Kirkland. The 652sq m building is now also

home to intu’s marketing suite for the redevelopment, a manned reception, office space and site accommodation for the contractors delivering the project. General Manager for intu in

Nottingham, Nigel Wheatley, said: “This is another step towards the redevelopment of intu Broadmarsh and will help us to create a centre with a new mix of places to shop, eat, relax and play for our customers to enjoy, including The Light cinemas and Hollywood Bowl, both of which are already committed to the redeveloped centre. “The redevelopment of intu

Broadmarsh will complement the existing retail and leisure offering at intu Victoria Centre as well as the wider city, bringing something new to Nottingham and offering the best experience to customers and retailers.

Wildgoose Homes has made the final handover to a property on its sought-after Derbyshire housing development. The Wistanes Green site, in

Wessington, has now been completed after the keys for the last house were handed to Mr and Mrs Cripwell, of Derby, by Wildgoose Homes’ Chairman Jonathan Wildgoose. Work on the site started in

early 2017 with all the houses sold before they were completed and reservations from the first week of release to the market. Wistanes Green now

comprises 32 market and affordable homes. Reuben Spears, Development

Director for Wildgoose Homes, said: “At Wildgoose Homes our aim is to create an environment where attractively-designed houses fit into their new surroundings and give the new

Historic hall lights a fire under potential buyers

The former home of Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, the historic Old Hall in Littleover, has been put up for sale. Expressions of interest have been invited for the nearly five-acre site on

Burton Road, which includes the impressive Victorian mansion. The site also includes more modern buildings and a gatehouse in

attractive, landscaped grounds. The 1891 house was erected to the design of Alexander MacPherson for

businessman Edward MacInnes. Prior to that there was a home on the site which dated back to the late Elizabethan era. Most recently, it was the headquarters of Derbyshire Fire and Rescue

Service for 45 years before it moved to be alongside Derbyshire Police at Butterley Hall in Ripley. Chamber member Salloway Property Consultants, as well as Bishop Property Consultants, is acting as vendors for the Old Hall.
