Seventeen trainees join growing team at BDO LLP
Accountancy and advisory firm BDO LLP has expand its 300- strong workforce across the Midlands by welcoming 17 new trainees. This year the firm experienced
a record-high of more than 10,800 applicants, a 20% increase compared with last year and a reflection of BDO’s continued commitment to attracting the most talented and diverse individuals for the next generation of its workforce. Richard Rose, Lead Partner

Essential Print Services welcomes new ‘angels’
Based on Pride Park, in Derby, Essential Print Services is continuing its expansion plan by taking on new “print angels”. Fran Ellis, Emma Hough and
Stacey Barradell are among the latest three arrivals at the firm. The new trio join the squad of print angels at Essential Print Services, which – now in its seventh year of trading – is continuing to grow. Company founder Yvonne

Chloe joins SBK as Sales and Marketing Executive
SBK Computers, a growing IT support business based in Chesterfield, has announced Chloe Turner as its new Sales and Marketing Executive. Chloe, who has a background in sales and key account management, joins the sales team to further support its clients and expanding services. Managing Director Steve Coe

Nicholas appointed as BEC Associate Director
A leading East Midlands mechanical and electrical engineering firm, Built Environment Consulting (BEC), has expanded its team with the appointment of Nicholas Fox as Associate Director. Nicholas will be based at BEC’s
new Nottingham office. BEC delivers projects across a
range of sectors including sport and leisure, hotel and education, and provides leading sustainable solutions for the built environment. Nicholas, who joins the team
from Pick Everard, where he worked as an Associate in Nottingham and Derby, will take a lead role in running projects for

Andy to head business centre in Nottingham
Allied Irish Bank (GB) has appointed a new head of its Nottingham Business Centre. Andy Cocker joins AIB (GB) with over 30 years
experience in commercial banking, most recently at Lloyds Banking Group, where he was a relationship director working primarily with manufacturing, engineering and general trading businesses in South Yorkshire and North East Derbyshire. His new role will include supporting companies
across the East Midlands region, particularly businesses operating in the manufacturing, healthcare, hotels and hospitality and professional practice sectors. He said: “AIB (GB) has a well-deserved reputation for
relationship business banking and a genuine appetite for lending. Those qualities really appeal to me, as does the opportunity to work with an established and respected team based in Nottingham. “The East Midlands is home to a wide range of
