Ray lally con- tinued to try pick holes in Mayfield resilience but time ran out and Midleton had to settle for a share of the spoils on opening day.
FAI Fun Day at Midleton FC. Great fun today for over
250 boys and girls at Knock- griffin park and big thank you to the FAI for making the event special for so many players. Great credit to all the 20 FAI staff on duty and such a well organized event that was enjoyed by all. A day that will be remembered for a long time.
Barry Wall East Cork Junior Cup Final New Look Midleton Jun-
ior team won the Barry Wall Junior Cup when they over- came St John Boscos on pen- alties after the game ended two all in the final at Knock- griffin Park. Thanks again to all the teams in East Cork for taking part, the referees and our kind sponsor Gary Johnston who presented the Barry Wall Cup of the Ma- ple Leaf. Best of luck to all teams for the new season.
U18 League Cup Youghal Utd 4 Midleton 2 Two goals from the ex-
cellent Robbie Kinane were not enough against a fine Youghal team. This was a rude awakening for the lads. We were good in patch- es. However, a lot of work is needed on the training ground to get the team back into shape
