Youghal Coast Guard Open

Coast Guard station held an open day, allowing the public access to the station. A great turn out arrived at the station and everyone left a little wiser on what work’s happen in the sta- tion.

On Sunday, 2 Septem- ber, on a beach yet

be disclosed, the Annu- al Cork Dip in The Nip will take place, and is in memory of Tara Sheri- dan, a brave woman who lost her fight with cancer. Registration is still open for all those who will dare to bare in the fight against cancer. Funds raised at this year’s event will go to Marymount Hospice and Cork Drag- ons (Breast Cancer Sur- vivors). Organiser, John Col-
lins, was married to Tara Sheridan for 19 ½ years. During that

to all. The beach will be sectioned between males and females and while they may be able to see each other, they’ll be far enough away not to be,
distinguishable! There will also be a section cor- doned off for families to join in (please note this is a clothed area – and all children must wear swimming togs). Life- guards will be present to give assistance if needed. To register send an

Tallow Horse Fair The horse fair will be held on Monday 3 September which is the tra-
ditional day for the fair. Traders come from far and wide and the town comes alive from early morning to late in the evening. So if you’ve never visited Tallow on horse fair day, maybe come along this year and experi- ence this fantastic day out.
Tallow Annual Senior Citizens Outing The Tallow Annual Senior Citizens Outing will take place on Saturday 8
September heading to Carlow and Kilkenny followed by an evening meal at The Park Hotel Dungarvan. Price: €50 – To be paid before Saturday September 1st. Names to be given to Mary Mangan, Convent Street, Tallow. Leaving From the square Tallow at 8.30am sharp.
Summer Camps The Summer Camps have now come to an end here at Tallow Training
and Enterprise Centre. All of the camps were a huge success and we have had great fun learning new computer skills, recipes, creating crafts, acting, singing and sewing. Keep an eye out for upcoming kid’s workshops over the Autumn months.
Autumn Classes We are now enrolling for Beginners and Intermediate Computer Classes
commencing Monday the 17th of September.
Safe Pass A Safe Pass course will take place on September 25th.
Movie and Munchies Morning Our next Movies and Munchies morning will take place on Thursday
the 23rd of August at 10.30am to 12.30pm with proceeds going to The Chernobyl Children’s Trust. Come and enjoy the fun before the school term begins with a screening of Peter Rabbit.
