finally blessed with the weather we hosted Sars in a challenge match, our Midleton Black U12 Camogie team put on a great

considering the terrible weather we’ve had the last number of months, a credit to all involved. This was our first U16B league game this year for our very young Midle- ton side. With numbers down on the Castlemar- tyr side, the game was 14 a side. We started this game very strongly with our backs particularly Yvonne Abernethy, Cao- imhe Cronin and Jodie Keegan O’Connell clear- ing a lot of ball which was the platform for our forwards to get

against a very good Sars team, there were great skills on display from both sides and we would like to thank Sars for making the trip to us and we look forward to playing them again during the season.

Juvenile Fe 8 We made the short trip
to Lisgoold on Saturday morning to take part in a regional football blitz. The
conditions under-
foot were very heavy and thus made it difficult for open and free flowing football. Our three teams all showed great appetite for hard work and fight- ing hard for the ball. Af- ter the three games that each of our teams played we had a very tired but happy bunch of players. We look forward to the longer evenings and more opportunities to train and play competitive games.
