45 South Abbey NS First Holy Communions by DENISE FITZGERALD
Holy Family Church on Sunday last
At 11am Mass in The eleven pu-
pils of South Abbey NS, seven girls and four boys, received their First Holy Communion in a beautiful service celebrated by Fr. Patrick Winkle.
A Ceremonial Candle,
which was presented to the Parish last weekend by Bishop Crean, was brought to the altar and each of the Communi-
cants had a very important role to play in the Ceremo- ny, encouraged by Fr Win- kle. The beautiful music and singing of Teresa and Breeda made it a very spe-
cial day. Fr Winkle
thanked all
those who helped in the preparations for the Com- munion Day including Teachers, SNA teacher,
those who decorated the Altar, Sacristan, Parents and children. The lovely service con-
cluded when the children sang together a beautiful
Prayer of Thanks. Congratulations to
South Abbey NS pupils who received their First Holy Communion.
