ATHELHAMPTON HOUSE is an experience not to be missed as wandering through the many rooms and great hall it is easy to see how nobility lived. Go to the gallery to see examples of the work of the artist Marevna who lived at Athelhampton from 1948 – 1957. Te West Wing houses a fine dining room, Te Yellow Bedroom and State Bedroom, Te Dressing Room and a Bathroom with a copper bath.


Visit the gardens for formal architecture, plant variety and woodland scenes. Te Great Court, with its striking Pyramid shaped yew trees, is the most famous of the gardens. Beyond the Great Court, the Corona, the Private Garden, the Canal, and Octagonal Pond lead you through the gardens to the River Piddle which forms a natural boundary. Te river walk takes you through natural areas, and around toward the ancient Dovecote. To enjoy a meal visit the Topiary Restaurant with a Sunday Carvery.
