Williton is a small town, home of West Somerset Council and the family attraction Tropiquaria Zoo. Also nearby is the Bakelite Museum exhibiting artefacts, and Wyndham Arms offers good food and advice for exploring the area.


Dulverton is the headquarters of the Exmoor National Park Authority. Te town has many places to eat and stay, a guns and fishing tackle outlet and various other shops. Te Guildhall Heritage and Arts Centre is free admission, the Carnival is on the first Saturday of October, and there is a Folk Festival. Te Bridge Inn offer good food and they will give your dog a bone. Add to this the talents of artists, craftsmen and glassmakers who live and exhibit their creations in the town, then you have a strong reason to visit.


Dulverton is situated between the rivers Barle and Exe which provides good trout and salmon fishing. Nearby, the beauty spot of Tarr Steps and the Tarr Steps Hotel is located on the River Barle. In this area there are many other medieval bridges and the remains of Oldberry Castle and Mounsey Castle, Iron Age hillforts and an abundance of flora and fauna. Briggins Moor is just to the south of the town and next to the River Barle.
