and missing footbridges on the path between Returno Farm and Robeston Wathen was first brought to the attention of Pembrokeshire Ramblers in March 2010. There were also problems with the path running west from the Bridge Inn at Coxlake. An agreement was reached with
the landowners of East Atheston Farm for the footpath that ran through the farmyard to be moved north along the lane, and to run alongside the river. This work was completed in November 2013 but unfortunately a bridge was required to cross the stream to make this path usable for walkers.

a different approach and despite the efforts of the Pembrokeshire County Council Rights of Way officers, and Pembrokeshire Ramblers, progress was slow and the opening of the paths in this area was not achieved until December 2016. Resolution of the problems

unhindered from Robeston Wathen south to the Valley Road; West from Town Moor car park to the road which passes East Atheston farm; and West from the Bridge Inn at Coxlake to the same road. The route is well signed and opens
up access to several other connecting paths in that area. Pembrokeshire Ramblers would
like to thank the Council’s Rights of Way team for their efforts and to Bluestone who provided the funding for the construction and installation of the bridges.
