FRANÇAIS Le Grand Central est un espace multifonctionnel situé au cœur du
district de Miami Park West, tout entier destiné aux clubs. Lorsqu’il s’est agit de choisir l’équipement audio, le responsable de product ion et ingénieur systèmes Ti tus Woodham f i t appel à l’entreprise Beachsound, basée à Miami, et après un léger t ravai l de persuasion et quelques promesses du const ructeur, Ti tus choisi t Adamson pour teni r ce rôle. Titus explique que « Jesse Adamson est venu à Miami, nous a rencontrés et nous a montré le lieu. Après la visite il nous a proposé de jeter un œil à un de ses systèmes pour que nous nous fassions notre propre idée. Une fois que l’anneau Adamson est arrivé, et avec l’expertise d‘Ewan McDonald, ingénieur pour les applications Adamson, nous nous sommes trouvés littéralement soufflés ! » La console de mixage du grand Central est une Avid VENUE SC48 et l’amplification est assurée par une combinaison d’amplificateurs
Lab.gruppen FP+ Series tandis que le traitement est pris en charge par un XTA 4 Series. Pour compléter ce sound system exceptionnel, un éclairage à la pointe était tout simplement indispensable. Ainsi, Titus et l’équipe d’installation de Freq Productions se sont tournés vers les spécialistes que sont Martin Professional et Chauvet.

and reliability. Adamson has also been using XTA with its products for their fidelity, ease of use and reliability. To combine this outstanding sound system with anything less than a state-of-the-art lighting design would be a travesty. Luckily, Titus knew that the lighting solution needed to be of equal measure to the audio equipment in order to live up to the high standards already in place. In answer to this, Titus and the Freq Productions installation team turned to lighting specialists Martin Professional and Chauvet. The main lighting rig which encompasses the staging area and the dancefloor / events space includes: six Martin Mac 250 Krypton, a high performance profile with an achromatic lens system; two Martin Mac 2000, a moving head with exceptional power and a clean, even, soft-edged beam; four Martin Atomic 3000 powerful and high-impact strobes; and 24 Chauvet COLORado Tri Tour LED fixtures. Control for these fixtures is courtesy of a High End Systems Road Hog 3 software package. These intelligent lighting fixtures are teamed with an equally spectacular LED curtain, which runs across the backstage wall. The curtain is 40ft wide by 8ft high and comprises SMD LEDs at 37mm pitch. Titus said: “It’s such a dynamic lighting element, it really changes the look of the place depending on the event.” Titus had a team of experts to help him achieve the end result at Grand Central. He would like to say a special thank you to: “The entire Adamson team, especially Ewan McDonald and Jesse Adamson. The entire Beachsound team, led by Andre Serafini and Project Manager Paolo Mangones. And the Freq Productions installation crew - Mike Reed, Austin Dorson, James Tejada, Joe Williams, Isis Masoud and TBone.” Working on a project that has been a dream for so long must offer a real sense of fulfilment. Titus summed up what the realisation of Grand Central really means to him. He said: “It’s Miami’s only mid size event space, with full professional level, state-of-the-art ‘in house’ production equipment and services. With Adamson, XTA, and
Lab.gruppen at the core, this facility is prepared to pioneer Miami’s live event scene into the future decade!”

Bei der Auswahl des Audioequipments wandte sich der Produkt ionsmanager und Systemingenieur Ti tus Woodham an das in Miami ansässige Unternehmen Beachsound und entschied sich nach ein wenig Überzeugungsarbei t , Unterstützung und Hilfe seitens des Herstellers für Adamson. Titus dazu: „Jesse Adamson kam nach Miami, traf uns und besichtigte den Veranstaltungsort. Nachdem er sich das Gebäude angesehen hatte, bot er an, eines seiner Systeme einfliegen zu lassen, damit wir uns selbst vom Klang überzeugen konnten. Als die Adamson-Anlage angekommen und mit Hilfe der Fachkenntnisse von Ewan McDonald, Adamsons Anwendungstechniker, installiert war, hat es uns einfach umgehauen!“ Das Mischpult im Grand Central ist ein Avid VENUE SC48; die Verstärker stammen aus der
Lab.gruppen FP+ Serie und werden zusammen mit Prozessoren der XTA 4 Serie betrieben. Es wäre eine Schande, diese hervorragende Tonanlage nicht mit einer der modernsten Lichtanlagen zu kombinieren. Daher wandten sich Titus und das Freq Productions Installations-Teamzur Abrundung des Veranstaltungsorts an die Lichtspezialisten Martin Professionals und Chauvet.

Nella scelta del sistema e delle attrezzature audio, il Direttore di Produzione nonché Ingegnere di Sistema Titus Woodhan ha invitato Beachsound, con base a Miami. Dopo un po’ di persuasione ed una promessa di supporto da parte della casa produttrice, Titus ha scelto Adamson. Titus ha affermato: “ Jesse Adamson è venuto giù a Miami, ci ha incontrati ed ha dato un’occhiata al locale. Dopo aver visto il luogo, ha proposto di provare direttamente in loco uno dei suoi sistemi grazie anche all’esperienza di Ewan McDonald, Ingegnere delle Applicazioni di Adamson. Una volta ascoltata l’intera apparecchiatura, siamo rimasti letteralmente fulminati”! La console di mixaggio al Grand Cent ral è una Avid VENUE SC48, con una ampl i f icazione composta da una combinazione di FP+ di
Lab.gruppen, mentre l’amplificazione ed i processi in serie vengono gestiti da 4 Series di XTA. Non associare ad un sistema audio cosi formidabile un design d’illuminazione ad hoc sarebbe stato una vera e propria farsa. Di conseguenza, Titus ed il team di installazione Freq Productions si sono rivolti agli specialisti d’illuminazione Martin Professional e Chauvet a completamento del locale.

corazón de la zona de clubes de Park West de Miami . Cuando llegó el momento de elegir el equipamiento de sonido, el Gerente de Producción e Ingeniero en Sistemas, Ti tus Woodham, apeló a Beachsound, con base en Miami. Luego de una pequeña persuasión y de un compromiso de respaldo por par te del fabr icante, Ti tus se quedó con Adamson. Titus dijo: “Jesse Adamson vino a Miami, se reunió con nosotros y echó un vistazo al lugar. Luego de ver el sitio ofreció traer uno de sus sistemas para que podamos escucharlo nosotros mismos. Cuando el equipo Adamson arribó junto con la habilidad de Ewan McDonald, Ingeniero de Aplicaciones de Adamson, estábamos completamente enloquecidos!”. La consola mezcladora en Grand Cent ral es una Avid VENUE SC48, mientras que la amplificación está provista por una combinación de amplificadores serie FP+ de Lab. gruppen y el procesamiento a cargo de las Serie XTA 4. Combinar este excepcional sistema de sonido con nada menos que un diseño de luces de vanguardia sería una parodia. Es por eso que Titus y el equipo de instalación Freq Productions recurrieron a los especialistas en iluminación Martin Professional and Chauvet para completar el lugar.
