The HDX-W14 is a 3-chip DLP 3D events projector with advanced image processing, increased and easy control options, and a compact design. The HDX-W14 comes with a 14,000 lumens light output, a WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution and active 3D capabilities. Next to the traditional input sources, the HDX-W14 is supporting the new 3G HDSDI standard, gearing it up for lightning-fast, future video transmission. The LAN/RJ45 is standard on the HDX-W14, but the projector also supports interaction with tablet PCs and smart phones via Wi-Fi and direct interaction with the web via an inbuilt 3G/GSM module. Enabling the projector to be monitored and tracked remotely makes preven- tive maintenance simpler and maximises uptime. Serviceability is also enhanced by the fact that the HDX-W14 is, in effect, built around five discrete modules, each of which can be slid in and out for faster repair time that demands less skill. The projector is specifically designed for the rigours of the events industry, and is available with a range of lenses that are compatible with Barco’s previous 3 chip DLP projec- tors. The HDX-W14’s image processing quality is driven by Barco’s ImagePRO technology – which handles scaling, conversion, switching and transcoding, and is built into the projector.

The Canon XEED WUX4000 offers levels of image quality and brightness that rival higher priced WUXGA installation products – providing customers with a real alternative in this highly competitive market segment. The XEED WUX4000 takes advantage of Canon’s well-estab- lished LCOS panel technology, delivering faithful colours and lattice-free images at native WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels). The combination of seamless LCOS images and a very high resolution means that every image detail is preserved, with clear display of small text and fine lines. With a brightness of 4000 lumens and 1000:1 contrast ratio, the Canon WUX4000 excels with photographic images, where its vivid colours clearly outperform many other WUXGA installation projectors. The WUX4000 is Canon’s most flexible projector to date, designed to meet the needs of the widest possible range of installation environments. It features three lens options: a standard zoom lens (RS-IL01ST), a long zoom lens (RS-IL02LZ) and a fixed-focus wide angle lens (RS-IL03WF) – the last of these being particularly suited to rear projection applications. In addition, motorised horizontal and vertical lens shift allows the projected image to be repositioned without the reduction in image quality caused by the use of keystone correction. The WUX4000 is ideal for use in all standard business and educa- tion environments, as well as more specialist and demanding applications where multiple projectors are installed or where 3D images are required.

Christie MicroTiles are modular digital display tiles that can be stacked and clustered like building blocks to create display walls of any shape or scale, using an entirely new, advanced optical design that produces unparalleled levels of brightness, contrast and colour reproduction. Double, triple or quadruple the brightness levels with Hitachi’s latest Multi Purpose stackable projectors. These versatile and feature rich models can either be stacked vertically or positioned horizontally to deliver superb images at a fraction of the cost of higher brightness models. Hitachi’s CP-X4021N, CP-WX4021N and CP-X5021N instant stacking projectors are a great way to achieve high brightness projec- tions at a reduced cost to a single projector of an equivalent brightness. The features (lens shift, enhanced Perfect Fit software and RS232 communication between the projectors) that make the image alignment for stacking extremely easy on these models, also makes them suitable for passive 3D projection where the alignment of the two projectors is also crucial. The addition of widely available polarising filters (one for each projector) and the corresponding low cost glasses are all that is needed to get great quality 3D (a 3D source such as 3D Blu Ray player is required to produce 3D images) images. Unlike active 3D systems, passive glasses produce little or no flicker therefore reduc- ing eye strain. They are also light and more comfortable to wear. Ghosting effects are also reduced in comparison to active 3D systems. The ease of instant stacking along with the flexibility of doubling, tripling or quadrupling brightness, as well as easy 3D capability, make these projectors suitable for a host of applications.
