Fuller Air Station Prairie and Tyner Interpretive Center
Fuller Air Station Prairie is a 32-acre remnant of a tallgrass prairie that once stretched for millions of square miles across much of the North American continent. Experience what much of northern Illinois was like during pre-settlement conditions and view rare native vegetation close-up via walking paths.
Tyner Center exhibits provide a better understanding of this unique environment. The 3,000-square foot building also serves as a showcase for “green technology,” and has been certified LEED Platinum.
> Hours: Fuller Air Station Prairie and exterior exhibits are open to the public daily from sunrise to sunset. The Interpretive Center is open the following dates and times:
> thru Aug. 12: Tu/Th/Sa/Su 9 am-3 pm > Aug. 18-Oct.: Sa & Su 9 am-3 pm > Nov.: Sa 10 am-2 pm
