Lacrosse


Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association — Be a part of a youth lacrosse league exclusively for girls from Chicago, north, northwest, west and south suburbs. The emphasis of this program is to develop the girl within the sport of lacrosse. The goals of the program are to understand the rules of lacrosse, promote active teamwork and sportsmanship, and foster personal development in a respectful environment led by positive coaching. All players receive equal playing time and will be played in all positions.


REGISTRATION IS A TWO STEP PROCESS. 1. Register at the Glenview Park District. 2. Complete the player information form at iglax.org under the registration tab.


Each player must also have their own goggles, stick and a mouth guard. Please see our equipment links at iglax.org under the Get Ready to Play tab. Team jerseys will be provided and should be worn to all games.


Sun., Aug. 26, 1-2:30 pm: FREE pre-season clinic at Techny Prairie Park for girls to brush up on lacrosse skills and learn new ones; Sun., Sept. 9, 1-4 pm: extra practice at West Fork Park; Sun., Sept. 16: regular season games begin.


Practices will be one day a week for 1 1/2 hours. Games will be played on Sunday afternoons at various north/northwest locations. Game schedule will be posted by 9/10/12. PLEASE NOTE: Participants must bring the Park District paid receipt to the first day of the league as proof of payment.

DAY/TIME 102508-C No class 9/26 Jr. Titan Boys Lacrosse —


Jr. Titan Lacrosse is a north shore based program affiliated with Youth Team ONE (YTO). The mission of YTO is to facilitate growth of Lacrosse Illinois by providing entry and intermediate level opportunities to both players and coaches. The fall league will be offered for grades 3-8 within four separate divisions. Teams will be limited to 18-20 players to ensure maximum touches and playing time for each participant. Games will be held every Saturday for seven weeks with four clinics held on Tuesdays every other week. All players must provide their own required equipment: helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, mouth guard, cleats, and stick. Hockey equipment can be used.


Practices will be held on Tuesdays, 9/11, 9/25, 10/9, 10/23 at the following times: 3rd-6th grade: 4 pm-5:30 pm 7/8th grade: 5:30 pm-7 pm


Games will be played on Saturday afternoons between 3-6 pm.
