Karate


Karate classes are taught by instructors of the Illinois Shotokan Karate Club under the direction of John DiPasquale, four-time National Champion, U.S. Karate National Coach and National Faculty Member of ACEP (American Coaching Effectiveness Program). Pre-Karate — (4-7 yrs.) Through a variety of fun and creative activities young children develop coordination, strength and personal safety skills as well as memory and agility skills necessary to be successful in school and in other sports. MAX/MIN: 50/20 *To enroll in the Int/Adv level students must have taken at least two sessions of the Beg/Cont class.


Youth Karate — (7-14 yrs.) Karate can improve a child’s sports, school and social activities by helping them build coordination, agility, strength and poise, as well as personal safety skills. The mental aspect involved in Karate builds self-confidence, control and discipline. The physical aspect of this program is both enjoyable and beneficial.


MAX/MIN: 50/20 Adult Karate — (15 yrs.-adult)


A variety of benefits await the adult who studies Karate. Karate movements develop poise and agility while developing overall muscle tone and cardiovascular fitness. Karate promotes the release of tension and also teaches vital self-defense skills which can be invaluable if ever confronted with a dangerous situation. The class is a must for parents wishing to protect themselves and their families.

Karate Kids!
