Develop the fundamentals of shooting, ball handling, passing and footwork with Coach Donlon, an award-winning college and high school basketball coach. Donlon was an assistant coach at Providence College in the Big East and Northwestern University. He also coached at Lake Forest High School where many of his players went on to compete at the college level. Participants should bring their own ball.

Introductory Basketball League 1st & 2nd Grade Basketball League —


This program is designed as a lead-in to our grade school league program. Each player is assigned to a team run by a volunteer coach. Team rosters will be given to coaches the week prior to winter break. Coaches will contact players about team placement and season schedule by January 7. Coaches will run practices on January 13 & 20. An eight week game schedule will begin on January 27. During the hour games are scheduled there will be a 20 minute practice and 40 minute game. Games will be refereed; no scores will be kept. Grades will play separately, but may be combined if there is low enrollment. Fee includes team jersey.


NEW! Players may now make a reciprocal friendship request! Requests MUST be reciprocal. Any requests for more than 1 friend OR requests that are not reciprocal will not be considered. In the instance where players are on the same team because parents are coaching together, additional requests cannot be made. Friendship forms can be found online at www.glenviewparks.org or at the Park Center front desk.

This four-week pre-season basketball tune-up clinic is for boys and girls to help brush up basketball skills. Fundamental skill work, drills and game play will be included. This is a great opportunity to prepare for the basketball season regardless of your skill level.
