> > Team Formation Process
Third through eighth grade teams are formed by player rating obtained at the end of each season from the previous year’s coaches.
Coaches will meet to draft their teams using the previous year’s ratings. In some cases where leagues are small, the youth athletic supervisor will form teams based on ratings and will mix all the schools together.
How does this process benefit your child?
> Better balance of skill levels throughout each league. > Quality learning and playing experience during games. > Provides consistency among the community athletic programs. > Presents opportunities to make new friends throughout Glenview.
Refund Policy for Youth Leagues Refunds will be granted less a 10% cancellation fee until teams are formed.
After teams are formed, 50% of the program fee will be refunded After games are scheduled to begin there will be no refund.
Competitive Basketball
has moved! The park district will be offering the competitive program as a short 6-week season + tournament in the spring. The winter house league is a great way to work on your skills and work on putting your own team together for the league in April and May. Look for more detailed information in the Winter 2013 brochure.
House Leagues NEW! Lower Fees!
Coaches will contact players about team placement and schedules prior to winter break. Team jersey included. You may indicate one day during the week that you CANNOT practice (this can be indicated online or in person). Every effort will be made to place your child with a team on a night you can practice. However, players will not be switched to other teams if the coach changes his or her practice day.
