Physically, mentally and socially there are many reasons why it is important for PE to be prominent in the school curriculum. More and more people are leading sedentary lifestyles and therefore the importance of schools providing compulsory physical activity to address physical literacy levels and improve overall health and fitness is paramount.
Some students still enjoy the traditional sports but they are not as popular as they were 20/30 years ago, and now the prefer

We know this is happening for some students which is great but my worry is that for others the only physical activity they have each week is their school PE lessons.
