You see, we have this voice in our brain that goes into overdrive as we think that everyone else will be judging us on our body shape, our choice of clothes and lack of fitness.

Add in the ‘fact’ that, ‘everyone else knows what exercises to do, how to use the equipment and knows everyone else in the gym’ and you can see why many people will opt for an evening in front of the television rather than choosing to exercise.

At Healthhaus we do things a little differently. We aim to make activity more accessible by making it simpler, more time efficient and by coupling the most up to date exercise technology with a personal touch; a team of supportive staff who are there to ensure that you exercise safely, provide you with plenty of encouragement and make your visit to the club a little bit more fun!

Your ‘home from home’ There’s no getting away from the fact that we’re selling hard work, so we try to provide a comfortable environment - think homely rather than sweat box and you’ll get the picture. After all, where do we tend to feel the most comfortable? - in our own ‘haus’.

Simple, safe and effective!

While I admit that technology can be scary, it’s actually the technology (the award winning milon circuit) that takes the scary out of exercise. On the first visit to the club one of our trainers sets up the machines for the client, with the help of a biometric scanner. A personalised chip card stores their individual set up so when the card is inserted, the machines automatically adjust to their personal settings, including range of motion and resistance. The ability to control the set up and movement of the machines means that clients are less likely to injure themselves and can use the equipment as part of a supervised injury rehabilitation programme.

The client and his or her trainer trainer can track their progress via the engaging milonME app. This enables our trainers to adjust the settings so that clients make continual improvements in strength and cardiovascular fitness.

A healthy community As humans the need to belong is engrained in who we are, yet our perception of how others perceive us often prevents us from connecting. It has also been proven that group exercise has a more positive impact on our mental health than exercising alone. However, not everyone is comfortable in a group environment, where they can feel that they are being compared to others. The milon circle enables members to exercise in the company of others, with a feeling of ‘being in it together’ but with the privacy that only the client and their trainer knows what they are doing.

Our members also play a vital role in creating a supportive community. Knowing that that they will be coming to a place where they bump into friendly faces makes the thought of exercising more appealing! Our lounge is the perfect retreat for the days where exercise feels like a step too far and all the member want is a cup of tea and a good chinwag.

Fit and healthy in just 35 minutes? As for the time efficiency part - yes it is true that there are guaranteed results by exercising on the milon circle just twice every 10 days for 35 minutes! We promote quality of exercise over quantity, which leaves members time for the finer things in life. How convenient then that the award winning Ayush Wellness Spa is only a few steps away.
