Review ICE TOTALLY GAMING 2017

Scientific Game’s world first at ICE came in the form of the company’s Very Cherry slot machine from its Bally stable. It was unveiled on the Dualos platform, another big reveal at the show with its dual 58.4cm (23ins.) HD screen cabinet, OLED digital buttons, integrated ambient lighting, and a 47cm (18.5ins.) digital topper. Te cabinet comes with a rich game library of titles from Scientific Games’ leading brands Bally, Shuffle Master and WMS.

Marco Herrera, Vice President, Managing Director of Gaming for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), spoke to G3 at ICE: “Te big launches are usually reserved for G2E Las Vegas, so it’s great to launch a world first at ICE. I think it shows where we are in terms of Europe and how important the market is for us. It’s been a transformational year for Scientific Games in Europe, during which we’ve moved our operations in Amsterdam and Salzberg into the old WMS headquarters in Barcelona, where we’ve been able to unite everything from one central hub.

“Te response from our EMEA customers has been fantastic and we’ve actually had our best ever year. Te continued roll out of our Asian- theme progressive, Duo Fu Duo Cai, has now hit 1,200 installs. It’s done exceptionally well in South Africa. Te European player is a more aggressive gambler and this has been a feature of the games that have performed well for us. We released the TwinStar in the United States towards the end of last year and we expect it to land in Europe in the fourth quarter of 2017. Our focus in terms of launches into the EMEA market will be on the Twinstar and Dualos as well as the Lock It Link progressives with its Lock It Link respins mechanic that players love.”

Te TwinStar dual-screen cabinet is a stunning platform for Bally and WMS games and will house games including player favourites Zeus, Kronos and Quick Hit Wild Blue. Incorporating the next-generation ArgOS operating system, TwinStar features high-speed processing and video capabilities, along with features such as a

“We’re looking forward to bringing DEQ’s table games to our Shuffle Master portfolio, especially games such as EZ Baccarat and Progressive Pai Gow Poker which have proved popular in the states. There’s a significant table market in Europe. Also in this segment we’ve added a new Back Betting feature to our PRIZM Game Table.”
