Review ICE TOTALLY GAMING 2017

Betsoft Shifts into gear with hit sequel

Betsoft Gaming, creators of the ground-breaking Slots3 franchise of true 3D video slots, was lifting the curtain on its long-awaited slot sequel, Slotfather II, at this year’s ICE show

Featuring the original game’s throng of thugs from this fictional gangster underworld, Slotfather II features Betsoft’s spectacularly tall symbols, which take up an entire reel. Te bonus round shows off the tremendous flexibility of Betsoft’s new, proprietary Shift platform, providing a new level of quality to the cinematic experience for which Betsoft is famed.

Also unveiled at ICE was Fa Fa Twins, a game with 243 paylines hosted by a pair of anime- styled twin sisters. Te red-and-gold styling, coupled with classic Asian iconography, sets the stage for massive wins, as the game pays all ways and features reels that can lock and synchronise when their symbols match. Released just before the end of the year but making its first appearance at a gaming show, Sin City Nights embraces the sultry nature of Las Vegas with each winning combination exploding in a shower of sparks, leaving space for new icons to fall onto the reels. Each line win increases the generous multiplier so that wins are larger with each consecutive winning spin.

Annamaria Anastasi, Marketing Director at Betsoft, said: “Slotfather II will be released at the end of March. It’s the first time we’ve developed a sequel, but the second game is something that our players have been waiting for. We’ve brought back the popular characters and developed some exciting bonus rounds that we think will build on the success of the first game. Fa Fa Twins is our latest Asian themed game. It is a very simple, but rich game with lots of pay lines, It follows games such as Kawaii Kitty with its bright colours and cute feline characters and Great 88 with its dragons, fireworks and magic boxes, which have proved really popular with Asian players. Betsoft’s game formula is certainly working with a growing Asian customer base that has recently welcomed Xile99.com, XBet, Asia Weinet, ag88.com and Matrix One on board.”

Another market ready to boom in the coming year is Italy. Annamaria Anastasi explained: “Our games went live in the Italian market with ScommesseItalia and Microgame in December. We have invested a lot of time and expertise in achieving AAMS regulatory certification for Italy. We now have 23 games ready for the market and already have a lot of Italian operators that are coming on board. We think Italy will be a key territory for Betsoft in the coming year.”

Mark McKeown, Betsoft’s VP of Sales and Marketing, added: “Slotfather II, Sin City Nights and Fa Fa Twins to ICE vary in theme and functionality and represent the true heart of Betsoft. We continuously strive to produce the very best content available today in the iGaming market. Te power of our new Shift Platform supports these new games, leveraging the remarkable strength of HTML5 to create an exceptional iGaming experience.”

Te Shift platform was central to everything shown at ICE. Adobe is discontinuing support for its Flash player, and Shift was developed to compensate for that, to ensure that Betsoft games retain their lush and detailed graphics and animations. Te Shift platform runs natively

on any supporting web browser – such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari, or Mozilla Firefox, among others – without the need for any third party plugins. Te Shift platform is therefore more secure from cyber- attacks, granting operators and players peace-of-mind.

Te Shift platform uses an all-new animation engine that runs much more efficiently than Flash, meaning that Betsoft’s gorgeous games can be experienced the way they were intended. With the higher frame rate provided by this animation engine, animated game events are remarkably smooth. Tis allows for more complex graphical animations, leading to more satisfying and immersive gameplay.
