Review ICE TOTALLY GAMING 2017

Amy Riches, Marketing Manager, described this year’s ICE as “the best and busiest ever,” adding that Evolution had conducted a significant number of meetings with existing and prospective customers over the three days of the show.

Attracting big crowds to the Evolution stand were three new products. For most people, who understandably equate Live Casino to table- based and card-based games, the most eye-catching of these was Dream Catcher.

Te first title in an all-new Live Lucky Wheel category, Dream Catcher is a non-table game that extends the appeal of Live Casino to slot and bingo players, as well as to those who simply enjoy joining in with TV game shows.

Dream Catcher is a visually stunning super- sized vertical wheel with silver and gold 2x and 7x multiplier segments that trigger bonus spins. Te impressive game-show style set has been created in Evolution’s Riga studio using a precision-engineered bespoke wheel, built exclusively for Evolution by TCSJohnHuxley.

Streamed live to big screens on the ICE stand, the Dream Catcher demos that drew in the crowds made it clear that this is a significant new product that will expose Live Casino to players who don’t play table games.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF LIVE CASINO GAME Dream Catcher is another example of Evolution

being very much in tune with what operators and players need and want.

“Operators are always looking to expand the appeal of Live Casino and to cross-sell its attractions into other verticals such as slots and bingo,” explained Riches.

“Players, meanwhile, are always on the lookout for something a little bit different, and which catches the eye. Dream Catcher has been developed to reach out to the millions of slot, bingo, and other players out there who don’t play table games and therefore are not normally drawn to Live Casino. Dream Catcher is a very different kind of game – there’s no table, no cards and hardly any rules to learn.”

Riches continued: “What you see is exactly what you get with Dream Catcher — it's highly visual, easy to understand and very involving. Te live dealer spins the wheel, when the wheel stops on any given number, players who bet on that number win with the same odds. So, if the wheel stops on the number 40, say, the player wins 40 to 1. If the wheel stops on 5, the players wins 5 to 1, and so on. Te exceptions are when the wheel stops on a 2x or 7x multiplier. Bets then stay in place, the wheel gets spun again, and the next winning number gets multiplied 2x or 7x. If the multipliers hit sequentially, players can win big multiples of their initial bet, just like they can on the slots.

Evolution launched Dream Catcher, Dual Play Baccarat and Progressive Jackpot at ICE '17

Live Casino leader Evolution Gaming used ICE to demonstrate once again how effectively its studio-based and land-based casino solutions make gaming come alive for online players, declaring the London exhibition to the “best ever”

“Dream Catcher is very much like a game show that you can play along with at home. We’re launching simultaneously on desktop, tablet and smartphone, and we’re confident that this game will grab a very high proportion of revenue via the mobile channel. It’s the perfect play-anywhere game, it’s an ideal multi- tasking game, and it’s a whole lot of fun.”

CONVERGENCE OFFER EXTENDED Another highlight of ICE was Evolution’s new

Dual Play Baccarat studio streaming live from the upper floor of the stand. Tis solution, just like Dual Play Roulette before it, allows both online and land-based players to play the same games at the same land-based table.

Guests were invited to come and play upstairs at the Evolution stand around the physical Dual Play Baccarat table, whilst also being able to continue their game on their phone as they enjoyed a drink at the bar or touring the exhibition hall.

Tis set-up replicated the operation of an Evolution Dual Play table installed in a real land-based casino — online players anywhere can join on-premise players seated at the Dual Play table and be part of the same game. In principle this is true whether the online players are actually in the land-based casino where the Dual Play table is installed, or whether they are in a different location, city or country altogether. A key thought with Dual Play is that

players don’t have to be physically present at the land-based table to enjoy a game of Roulette or Baccarat amidst the sounds and surroundings of their favourite casinos.

Evolution has already scored some big successes in the land-based and online convergence arena, as its Dual Play Roulette tables are already installed at prestigious London venues such as Te Ritz Club and Te Hippodrome Casino.

PROGRESSIVE JACKPOT SIDE BET FOR CARIBBEAN STUD Completing Evolution’s trio of new products at ICE was a new Progressive Jackpot integrated within Evolution’s exclusive Live Caribbean Stud Poker game. Presented in the form of an optional side bet that’s independent of the outcome of the main game, this is another world first for Evolution.

Live Caribbean Stud Poker, created by Evolution in partnership with Games Marketing, is already unique as it’s the only online live version of Caribbean Stud available from a major licensed Live Casino provider. Te new Progressive Jackpot, for which the prize pot can grow bigger with every game round, offers a potentially unlimited prize value and differentiates the game still further.

Tis latest development further enriches Evolution’s wide range of Live Poker variants, a
