Johannes Weissengruber and Kubilay Özer with the APS

APEX gaming’s magnetic pull drew the crowds at ICE to its largest ever exhibit of innovations

Never before has APEX gaming revealed so many innovations than at this year’s ICE. APEX gaming took the show by storm as the feedback was overwhelming from the visitors. Te impact was so strong many operators wanted to take on the new solutions immediately in their gaming locations.

APEX gaming took innovation to the next level at ICE 2017 with a host of new products, of which the headliner undoubtedly was the new Pinnacle Premium SL, which enjoyed a spectacular premiere. It drew the crowds with a magnetic force. It is foreseeable that players will react in the same way. Tis complete jackpot island is comprised of eight slant tops – four either side – with each equipped with three 27ins. monitors, packaged in a unique configuration – with the large jackpot screen spreading above each of the slots and alongside the two open sides as well.

Te Pinnacle Premium SL shone brightest with the reveal of new game Dragon Egg. Played across the three screens, a dragon flies from one screen to the next and along the jackpot screen, bringing players luck as it lays eggs on the jackpot levels. Mega, Midi or Mini wins with the placing of three eggs on the same jackpot. Te player watches as the dragon swoops over the screen to lay its jackpot eggs with dymanic music and sound effects adding to the drama.

“Never before has one single game attracted so much attention,” enthused Johannes Weissengruber, the company’s founder and Chairman. “We have had many successful shows, but the reaction to Dragon Egg has exceeded our hopes and expectations. Te difference here was that customers not only expressed their interest, but placed firm orders. You could say it has been love at first sight – or first dragon flight.”

Pinnacle Premium Curved is equipped Pwith a 43ins. curved screen, and portrays Dragon Egg in a very special way. Te layout shows three separate screens for normal game play and in the feature game the vast real estate of the entire

screen is utilised. PPinnacle Premium Curved was shown in addition to a jackpot island – comprised of four slot machines in combination with a circular jackpot display above the slots.

“Tese are complete jackpot solutions and are exactly what our customers are looking for”, explained Kubilay Özer, Global Sales Director. “Te display and the sound bring so much life to Dragon Egg. Tis is a wonderful game with breathtaking hardware to go around it. We have been inundated with fantastic feedback and orders to match!”

Both the new Pinnacle Premium SL and Pinnacle Premium Curved are available with the Dragon Egg game or with the latest, innovative and acclaimed EVO 3 multigame platform from APEX gaming.

Te Pinnacle family is now complete with the already well-known family members: the Pinnalce VIP Premium offers a very special gaming experience with its 43ins. curved screen and VIP chair. Te original family members – Pinnacle 24, Pinnacle SL 27 and Pinnacle NSL 27 – are still going strong and were well represented on the stand.

Te next innovation provides a very specific solution for gaming operators that are faced with intermittent power consumptions problems. Easy Slot is a battery-operated, server-based gaming machine that offers hours of gaming. When power is available, the Easy Slot runs on standard power, but when power ceases, the machine switches into battery mode and can run up to 10 hours in this mode. Once the power returns, Esay Slot resumes normal power mode

and the battery is recharged at the same time.

Tis is a low-cost and extremely effective way for operators to offer gaming entertainment where power outages are commonplace. Easy Slot can be fitted with a card reader or alternatively, operators can utilise APEX Mobile Slots - issuing a voucher with the credit. Te player simply keys in the voucher number to begin playing. Cashing out is simple with the in- built scanner, which passes the credit value to the voucher that can then be redeemed at the cashdesk.

APEX continues to make waves with its APEX Player Station electronic roulette – which is now equipped with a circular screen above the displays to further attract player attention. Te APS can be fitted with one or two roulette wheels and can be linked with the APEX slot machines and vice versa. Furthermore, operators can link the APS to four roulette wheels – both live and electronic.

Te award-winning iDROPe and iDROP continue to revolutionise cash management on live gaming tables. Te system contains everything an operator needs in one compact unit simply links to the existing casino management system to provide complete statistics in real time. In essence, players can now purchase and redeem chips directly at the table. Te cash is counted and validated and securely stored, leaving is no room for error or shrinkage.

APEX gaming also offers live gaming tables, which were on show alongside the 8-Deck APEX Shuffler, was also introduced to the market at ICE. Te Shuffle King II one-deck shuffler continues to enjoy great demand in the industry and many visitors to the stand complimented the APEX team on how well this product is working.

APEX promised a record number of innovations for the ICE and duly delivered. “We thank everyone who came to see us at ICE to make this such a special occasion,” concluded Mr. Weissengruber
