IGT is En Pointe with OnPremise solution for the Asian market
International Game Technology believes that its OnPremise mobile betting solution with its new baccarat back-betting functionality could be the perfect option for the baccarat dominated markets of Asia.
OnPremise’s new back betting feature utilises embedded technology that enables casino patrons to play at multiple live tables simultaneously through their smartphone or tablet from any permitted area within a casino. IGT demonstrated OnPremise’ back betting with side bets capabilities at G2E Asia, showing how the solution seamlessly integrates into existing Players’ Club programs and enables players to earn rewards for OnPremise play.
Proxy betting, the practice of back betting via a telephone, has recently been outlawed in Macau. Driven by the austerity drive and the desire not to be seen in the casino, it was believed to account for up to 10 per cent of VIP revenue. However, IGT believes that back betting via a device is a new concept and one that gaming authorities will authorise.
