TCSJohnHuxley launching GFL Media at Casino
Canberra linking bacarrat and roulettes tables TCSJohnHuxley announced in Macau that its Gaming Floor Live Media is making its world debut in Australia with Casino Canberra, owned by Aquis Entertainment. Te casino will be linking together over 30 tables featuring baccarat and roulette, with the ability to also feature blackjack and money wheel games
Full screen media content will be displayed on TCSJohnHuxley’s e-FXT 27ins. Landscape and 29ins. portrait displays. Results can also be displayed using the latest Multi Table Display on any size LCD monitors throughout the casino that are connected to the system.
Casino Canberra was particularly impressed with GFL Media’s ability to control their venue’s entire display content, enabling the casino to communicate with their players and drive business like never before. Added benefits include pay tables, min/max displays and mandatory messages within the e-FXT display’s media window, through the use of a customisable media widget. Tis allows the casino to upload graphics and video files as required, delivering important player information right where it’s needed, while keeping the playing surface free from clutter created by additional displays.
Before the introduction of GFL Media, casinos had to use various different systems to control and update their media. Tanks to the GFL Media Module, every display is now part of communications network, collecting real-time results from the game and pushing out media and event content for display. By linking together previously stand-alone casino displays, operators can now alter, schedule, customise and configure displays from one central point through a browser-based user interface. Tis saves time and valuable resources, allowing for quick and efficient display changes to be made and eliminating the need for physical configuration of each individual screen.
Rebecca Kingswell, TCSJohnHuxley Managing Director APAC, said: “GFL Media takes a previously time-consuming task and makes it
fast and easy. Whether operators wish to alter one or hundreds of displays at a time, GFL Media grants full control, which makes it ideal for small and large casinos alike. Just a few simple clicks allow casinos to schedule updates and promotions, configure table limits and modify media; it’s now possible to react quickly to changing levels and requirements of player activity.”
Te company has also recorded some notable installs for its Blaze LED surface technology across the region, including the Venetian Macau, Studio City, Galaxy and Marina Bay Sands.
Available for Sic Bo, Roulette and Money Wheel, Blaze uses patented technology to deliver flexibility, reliability and graphic capabilities like never before. Using energy efficient LED lights that are fitted below the surface of the gaming table, Blaze displays unique ‘attract sequences’ and custom-themed animations, while also highlighting winning numbers. With a choice of single or double table configurations – depending upon game-type – and with acrylic or cloth layouts available, Blaze offers an array of options to meet any casino’s need.
Tristan Sjöberg, TCSJohnHuxley Executive Chairman said: “Our Blaze LED surface technology is the only product available that features in-game animated video, that allows operators to incorporate themed designs and images. Tese stunning animations add further excitement to already popular table games and boost appeal for new player demographics.”
Currently dominating the illuminated gaming table market in Asia, Blaze not only attracts players, but it also increases security on the casino floor and assists dealers with game
accuracy. Players and gaming staff instantly benefit from seeing winning numbers clearly highlighted, and with the improved visibility of these sections, Pit Bosses and security staff can easily monitor game procedures from a distance.
For further flexibility, Blaze Sicbo integrates seamlessly with TCSJohnHuxley’s unique Automatic Dice Recognition (ADR) software. When used with TCSJohnHuxley’s Dice Shaker, the ADR unit’s patented technology can process an image of the dice from a camera inside the cover, and return the result to the Blaze Sic Bo table for display on the gaming surface.
Tis adds further security features to the game and also prevents dealer collusion.
TCSJohnHuxley also used the G2E Asia exhibition to showcase the latest in its roulette wheel range, which has now expanded to include its newest addition, the Saturn Glo roulette wheel.
Saturn Glo incorporates LED technology providing in-rim lighting colour changes according to what’s happening in the game. Designed to literally ‘light up’ the game, Saturn Glo can be programmed to indicate game status and also features an exciting array of attract modes in a variety of colours.
It features an eye-catching light sequence to indicate ‘Finish Betting’ illuminated in blue, ‘No More Bets’ in red and once the winning number was established, Saturn Glo’s lights turned green. Ten after a pre-determined time, the green lights pulsate to indicate the start of a new betting sequence.
Rebecca Kingswell explained: “Saturn Glo provides a welcome addition to our extensive wheel range by bringing attractive illuminated technology, that not only adds excitement to the game, but also provides additional security by highlighting key stages of the game to dealers, pit bosses and surveillance staff. Tese new features bring added benefits to electronic terminal games, providing greater visibility on screen to players as the different colour lights indicate the game’s progression.”
