Tom Nieman, VP Sales & Marketing, JCM Global Review G2E ASIA 2016
JCM looking to overhaul validation and printing sector
JCM Global was at G2E Asia 2016 showing a range of products: those currently dominating the market; those that will soon dominate the market; and a number of validation and printing solutions that could be doing the same in the lottery sector in the near future.
From its bill validation line, JCM was showcasing iVIZION, which combines a 99 per cent acceptance rate with Contact Image Sensor (CIS) technology that sees the entire front and back of a note or ticket, for the highest levels of security.
Its TBV validator product has the ability to accept single notes or bulk notes, up to 50 at a time, all with incredibly powerful sensing and anti-stringing technologies to defeat counterfeiters and other cheats. Last, DBV-500 has cash box capacity options of 500/1000/1500 notes and eight wavelengths of high-precision optical sensors to provide the highest levels counterfeit protection.
Working in concert with the bill validators is JCM’s Intelligent Cash Box ICB 3.0 system, which increases accuracy and eliminates human error, and its web reporting empowers users to view reports from the casino floor in real time.
For printing solutions, JCM offers the GEN2 Universal, which features universal communication ports, a larger paper capacity, Intelligent Ticket Handling technology, jam- reducing IntelligentBezel system and available two-color printing technology.
Tom Nieman, VP of Sales & Marketing at JCM Global, commented: “Whereas in North America our penetration with bill validators is about 65 per cent of the market, and 60 per cent in Europe, it is closer to 55 per cent in Macau. Bill validators and printing are set for growth in this region and the integration of FutureLogic into the JCM product line is now providing synergy savings.
“Eyeing new openings coming in the next few years, we expect the Asian market to grow for JCM Global,” he added. “With the decline in VIP gaming, the shift to mass gaming will also help us expand our business in the region. Another driver is the high level of counterfeit notes in the market, which means that currency validation is gaining in importance.
“Additionally, we continue to work with operators in Europe and in Macau to deliver

TableXchange, which brings TITO and couponing to the tables,” said Mr. Nieman. “With space at such a premium on Macau’s table games, we’re looking to shrink the product further to give operators maximum flexibility, whilst increasing speed from eight notes a second to 10 notes a second. Speeding this process up can mean an extra 12 to 20 hands per shift, which can make a huge difference to the bottom line.” JCM Global was also deep in discussions as regards its future product development. “We’re working with the biggest names in slots on future products that take full advantage of bill validator, printer and CMS technology,” Mr. Nieman described. “We’re also looking at multi- currency apps that will be popular in border markets such as Niagara Falls, where customers bring US dollars and Canadian dollars, in Europe where players may carry Euros, Pounds or other
