Review G2E ASIA 2015 JCM GLOBAL IS MAKING EFFECTIVE CONNECTIONS

G2E Asia was the first public showing in Asia for the new look JCM Global, who having bought ticket printer FutureLogic was feeling better connected than ever

The deal has strengthened JCM’s hold on both the slot and table sectors with products ideal for both Macau’s heavy table play and the move towards mass gaming.

Tom Nieman, Senior VP Worldwide Marketing at JCM Global, said: “Every casino is now a customer whether it be from a JCM standpoint, a FutureLogic perspective or both. This was JCM’s first acquisition and if anything we underestimated the sheer scope of the synergies it would provide. There’s little product overlap with the two lines complimenting each other perfectly. On the table side, and of particularly relevance to Macau and other markets with high-volume wagering at tables is JCM’s iV8 table game bill validator. It validates and processes large stacks of notes at eight notes per second, dramatically reducing buy-in time and increasing the number of potential hands dealt per hour. The deal with FutreLogic has enhanced our positioning in table gaming with TableXchange, which brings the convenience of TITO to the table. This connection is complete with JCMedia, a line of digital displays, production services and media management systems that empower operators to communicate directly with customers in a digitally dynamic fashion.”

“The move to mass market gaming meanwhile places a greater emphasis on the components that optimise slot play with bill validators or TITO being the entry point to any slot machine,” Mr. Nieman continued.

Here the combined company marries bill validation technology such as iVIZION with advanced validation security features and anti-stringing

technology; iVIZION-HC with a high-capacity cash box; iPRO and iPRO-RC with an optional recycling feature; UBA, Vega and Vega-RC; Taiko Pub; the DBV-400 and DBV-500; and TBV that accepts notes in multiple currencies simultaneously with PromoNet intelligent couponing; Ticket2Go, a networked TITO solution. PromoNet is already out in Asia and is generating positive feedback whilst Ticket2Go is gaining traction in Australia, where the market is moving towards TITO.

“We feel at JCM that we’ve repositioned our self from a casino vendor to a collaborator with the operators,” Mr. Nieman added. “Certainly our dialogue with the operators has changed. We’re delivering convenience for the player and efficiency and security for the operator. Everything is moving towards real time data capture, analysis and improving critical performance. Operators can now get this in one convenient, better connected, package.”

The connection continues with JCM’s system solutions, including Dynamic Network Applications (DNA) and Intelligent Cash Box.

“DNA is essential for casinos looking to capture data,” Mr. Nieman explained. “The technology can keep an eye on acceptance rates and highlight if acceptance falls below a certain level. It can provide an extensive set of enhancement tools that empower casino operators to do much more than ever thought possible in real time, providing reports and alerts and delivering firmware updates with no downtime, across the entire slot floor. The Asian market is technologically orientated but the regulatory and approval process shouldn’t be underestimated. Certification moves at its own pace but we’re hopeful that by this time next year DNA will be live with Asian operators. Regulators love DNA as it allows them to verify peripheral devices, software versions, view reports and more but for the operator it is all about profitability, productivity and efficiency.”
