MEMBERS NEWS AGEM KEY BOARD OF DIRECTORS ACTIONS:

l AGEM is working with the American Gaming Association proposing alternatives to the Internal Revenue Service plan (in the US) to lower the threshold for reporting slot winnings from $1,200 to $600. The proposed plan to use electronic player tracking to report winnings would harm the player experience and drive up costs for the casinos by creating burdensome paperwork. The AGA has suggested in a formal letter that the adoption of the electronic player tracking process for federal tax information should be optional for casinos, and voluntary for players.

l Following the sad news of Jens Halle’s passing, the AGEM members approved a $1,500 Donation To St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital In his memory. This was in accordance to the Halle family’s wishes.
