Review G2E ASIA 2015
Macau’s first major resort opening since 2012, Galaxy Entertainment Group’s Galaxy Macau Phase II resort, the Broadway Casino Macau, has opened with 150 gaming tables with products supplied by TCSJohnHuxley
TCSJohnHuxley revealed at G2E Asia a huge shopping list of products supplied for the opening of Broadway Macau. In addition to the gaming table equipment, TCSJohnHuxley also supplied a custom designed LED Money Wheel with a Double Money Wheel Blaze table, Double Dragon Sicbo Blaze tables with e-FX Elite 2 number displays, Baccarat Blaze and Omni Baccarat Scoreboard displays. In addition, Broadway Macau saw 35 Baccarat displays and three Double Sicbo Blaze tables added to the gaming floor for the grand opening.
This was the first complete installation in Macau of the latest GFL Blaze suite of products, which feature unique LED surface technology incorporating a sophisticated illumination system. The slim-line, energy efficient LED matrix sits below the surface of the gaming table, providing attraction sequences, number highlighting and dynamic light displays that are fully customisable and integrate with e-FX displays.
Rebecca Kingswell, TCSJohnHuxley Managing Director APAC, said: “We are extremely proud to be selected to supply such a large number of gaming tables and products for these two prestigious openings. The Blaze suite of products offer a particularly exciting and eye-catching feature to the gaming floor as well as bringing added security benefits.”
This year’s G2E Asia show in Macau marked a significant event for TCSJohnHuxley with the debut of GFL Media in Asia, a key addition to the recently launched Gaming Floor Live (GFL) platform, which enables operators to control the delivery of content across the casino floor, from one central point.
By accessing a browser-based content management application, display media can now be altered, scheduled, customised and configured from anywhere in the world. Thanks to GFL, every TCSJohnHuxley display can now communicate through a Table Interface Board (TIB) to collect real-time results from the game and push media and event content for display. This saves time, allowing for quick and efficient changes to be made and eliminating the need for physical configuration of each individual screen.
Ms Kingswell added: “GFL Media takes a previously time-consuming task and makes it fast and easy. Whether operators wish to alter one or hundreds of displays at a time, GFL Media grants full control. Just a few simple clicks allows casinos to schedule updates and promotions, configure table limits and modify

media; it’s now possible to react quickly to changing levels and requirements of player activity.”
The first set of displays released on the GFL Media platform include the new e-FX 23” portrait and landscape displays and the new e-FX 27” landscape display, which has been designed specifically with Baccarat in mind. In addition, the displays now feature a slimmer profile than the rest of the e-FX range, while retaining the same attractive look and feel.

The i-Depsys Intelligent Drop Box also captured the attention of attendees. The Intelligent Drop Box is a discrete, fast and compact cash handling system that allows operators to count large sums of cash quickly and accurately, using the most reliable optical note recognition systems. Suitable for 24-hour operation, the Intelligent Drop Box conveniently integrates into any gaming table so that the Dealer can operate it comfortably and efficiently, all day long. On busy tables with large note volume buy-ins, the Drop Box can dramatically improve game speed – in some environments, increasing productivity by 50 per cent.

Ms Kingswell added: “The first major delay in handling cash is the time it takes to convert a player’s money to chips. The Dealer has to sort the notes, determine if they are legal tender, count the notes – and in some cases, wait for the Pit Manager to authorise them – and then store the notes. Ms Kingswell explained: “Traditionally, Sicbo tables take up a large amount of floor space, as does the auditorium style of Electronic Terminal Games. This new concept allows casinos to place fixed terminals in small, previously unused, licensed spaces, which transforms every available square foot into revenue generating space.”
Both GFL Portable & Fixed Terminals are uniquely flexible, enabling operators to offer any game that’s connected to the GFL platform. At the simple touch of a screen, customers can play multiple tables, improving player participation and excitement. Visitors to the show were able to see the new addition of Sicbo to the platform, with the option to switch between Live or RNG Baccarat and Roulette games.
