Review G2E ASIA 2015
Cammegh sparkled at G2e Asia, buoyed not only by further installations of its stunning roulette wheels into the Asia market, but by the launch of its unique roulette side bets: Spread Bet Roulette and Lucky Symbols, a territory first
The installation of nine Mercury 360 wheels with unique Asian designs customised to Galaxy’s requirements and featuring beautiful hand-painted artwork, was completed in plenty of time for the opening of Galaxy Entertainment’s phase 2 expansion at Galaxy Macau. The side bets are featured on Cammegh’s Billboard HD displays.
Andrew Cammegh said: “It’s been really pleasing to make further inroads into a market dominated by baccarat play. As the market turns to a more mass gaming experience, operators are increasingly keen to offer a roulette pit to their mix of gaming options. Operators such as the Venetian Macau have also embraced the chance to bring roulette to their players with the game proving a viable and valuable addition on their gaming floor.
“We’re especially excited by the launch of our side Andrew Cammegh

bets in Macau, as this is a complete first for the market and proves the appetite for something new. Elsewhere in the region we’ve been busy with
installs at City of Dreams Manila. We’re also particularly strong in Australia and New Zealand,” stated Mr. Cammegh.
IT’S STARTERS ORDERS FOR ALFASTREET ROYAL DERBY
At G2E Asia Alfastreet celebrated not just the launch of two premieres for the market but also news that it had won out in a four way test site at a major casino in Asia
Albert Radman, Sales Director at Alfastreet, said: “We were delighted to become the manufacturer of choice when it came to EGTs in this (as yet unnamed) casino. Four different brands of EGT went head-to-head, side- by-side and I’m delighted to say Alfastreet was selected by the operator. We remain in a very strong position in Asia with the last five years providing us with huge growth in Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, South Korea, Vietnam and Cambodia. In the last year we have also entered the market of Laos. The region has provided us with some of the biggest installs in the world, including a 500 terminal project in Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore, making it the largest install of one type of terminal in the world.”
The exhibition saw the launch of the brand new mechanical horse-racing machine, the Alfastreet Royal Derby, which is the modern interpretation of one of the most popular ETGs ever. It was accompanied by the industry's first single terminal with the huge, 32ins. touch screen monitor, the high performance unit called WIKY. “The Royal Derby takes on the best traditions of horse-racing themed ETGs and combines them with

the latest technology and connectivity,” Mr Radman added. “The game has been done before, but not quite like this. We’ve revised the mechanical part of the game, giving the player an ‘in game’ experience, sitting close to the racetrack and monitoring all the movements of the realistic models.”
The spacious dome covering the game includes a 360 degrees HD camera, tracking all the developments of the game.
Mr. Radman further commented: “Few companies have managed to establish such a supremacy in the field of single gaming terminals as Alfastreet, having won numerous awards for the SL single terminal, which has become the bellwether for all of the Asian markets. All the findings and experience from that product has been incorporated into WIKY, the brand new unit, with 32ins. touch screen monitor, which enables the player to simultaneously play up to four different games.”
