Chino, CA — Scienscope Inter - national has released its AXI 5100c X-ray component counter. The sys- tem is an innovation in component counting, and is capable of counting 01005s with ease, as well as 7 and 15 in. (177.8 and 381 mm) reels of various thick- nesses. An accurate component
count is vital for inventory management and production efficiency. Typically, this is a time-consuming, labor-inten- sive pro cess. Most machines require an operator to load, and run through each indi- vidual reel to count the com- ponents. The count is then recorded manually. Counting using X-ray
technology and intelligent algorithms can take as little as seven seconds for an entire reel, and can interface directly with inventory man- agement software to transfer the count instantly. This is less than the
