www.us-tech.com Hardy: New Integrated Panel Systems

San Diego, CA — Hardy Process Solu- tions has expanded its product offer- ing by providing new integrated panel systems in type 4 or 4X enclosures. The panel systems are designed to ac- commodate instrumentation and pe- ripherals, such as buttons, switches, relays, and summing cards. Integrated panel systems are de-

livered in type 4 or 4X enclosures in a variety of materials, shapes, and types

Previously, customers have

been forced to develop enclosures themselves or pay third parties for simple integration of Hardy instru- ments into their manufacturing sys- tem. The integrated panel systems save customers time in configuration and installation, enabling them to get up and running faster with a sin- gle supplier. The initial offering of a panel system includes a type 4 or 4X enclosure, a pre-installed weighing instrument, instrument accessories, precut gland holes and wire-way for a clean and organized installation of the weighing system. Each enclosure includes one or

with standardized weighing instru- ments and a wide range of control op- tions. The panel systems are easy to configure and to order and contain fea- tures such as buttons, switches and re- lays built in, which make them easy to integrate into complex industrial man- ufacturing operations.

Epoxies Etc. Develops One- Component

Epoxy Cranston, RI — The mixing and pro- portioning of two-component epoxy systems is time-consuming and prone to processing errors. The 20-3213 is a one-component heat cure system de- signed for electronic applications that require excellent dielectric properties. This new epoxy makes weighing and mixing unnecessary. The 20-3213 has a low viscosity

of 3,000 cps, which allows for easy flow and quick processing. It can be used as an impregnating compound in electrical laminations, as a potting

options, mounted on DIN rail in a hinged type 4 or 4X enclosure with the associated pass-through glands for power, communications, up to four sensors and up to three output cables. Currently, nine enclosure options are available in a variety of materials, shapes and sizes, depending on the in- strument and the other options select- ed. An optional pre-installed/pre- wired display mounted onto the enclo- sure door and located in the center of the upper half of the door allows an area for buttons and switches to be lo- cated in the lower half of the enclosure door. Also available is the optional pre-installed/pre-wired Hardy HI6020 IT summing card with connectors mounted in the back of the enclosure on standoffs.

Optional features include 22

mm (0.87 in.) metal pushbuttons and associated indelible markings, an N- position selector switch and associat- ed indelible marking to indicate modes of operation for gross or net lo- cated in the bottom half of the enclo- sure door, a three-mode tower light wired to the instrument on the top of the enclosure, and an Opto22 relay backplane to accommodate a large variety of relay choices in AC, DC, low and high current, and mechani-

cal and solid state. Contact: Hardy Process Solu-
