Juki Intros Closed-Loop Screen Printer Package

Morrisville, NC — Juki Automation Systems, a provider of automated assembly products and systems, has introduced its special SPI to screen printer closed-loop package. The package includes the state-of-the-art GL Plus screen printer coupled with the CyberOptics SE500-II™ SPI sys- tem. The closed-loop package increases first-pass yields by auto- matically correcting the x/y registra- tion on the screen printer with meas- urements from the SPI. The fully-automatic GL Plus

screen printer is TüV SüD certified for both the U.S. and Canada. The popular GL series is designed for PCBs with a maximum size of 510 x 510 mm (20.08 x 20.08 in.). In addi- tion, the GL has been designed with a rigid and stable machine body base structure to perform accurate paste printing for 01005 (0201) compo- nents. The printer provides numer- ous benefits to users including a core cycle time of less than 8.5 seconds, and intuitive operation for quick and easy model changeover.

removed the ear sections on a GBBA (ground blade bridge assembly) and replaced them with pins that plug directly into a PCB. These are then soldered in place. The ETCO GBBA plugs into the wall socket and con- sumers plug their devices into the FAE (female assembly enclosure) on the other side. The power is trans- ferred through the PCB while other components specific to data on the PCB allow consumers to control their devices remotely. The implications of this idea are far-reaching for manu- facturers of smart outlets, battery chargers, medical devices, and exten- sion cords, among many others. The company’s molded products

are used principally by major automo- tive and appliance manufacturers. ETCO also manufactures supporting automated application equipment and has major customers in a variety of other industries in the U.S. and over

30 countries throughout the world. Contact: ETCO, 3004 Avenue
