Manchester, NH — Schleuniger, a manufacturer of wire processing equipment, has introduced its latest wire cut-and-strip system — the EcoStrip 9380 — a machine that has been designed for a variety of entry- level wire processing applications. The EcoStrip 9380 can be con-
figured with rollers or belt feeding and the setup can be changed quick- ly by the operator. The special three- position design of the optional belt feeding system further enhances the system’s capabilities. The belt feed- ing can be set for normal mode, roller
art design and its ability to process two wires in parallel. The EcoStrip 9380 is also compatible with a full range of pre- and post-processing ac- cessories for pre-feeding, marking (inkjet on-the-fly), stacking, coiling and tying, which turn the standalone machine into a fully-automatic pro- cessing line. Owners of the original EcoStrip 9300 model can save addi- tional money by using their current blades and guides with the new EcoStrip system. The system is controlled by the company’s standardized S.ON user
interface with 5.7 in. (144.78 mm) color touchscreen. With the release of the EcoStrip 9380, this interface is now the standard across the entire line of Schleuniger cut and strip products. As business grows, this standardization makes it easier than ever for customers to expand capabil- ities and transition to new, higher level cut and strip machines without having to learn a new user interface. Once equipped with the additional indicator, during depaneling the pass/fail indi- cator will highlight the pass/fail information with a color overlay image. The operator is then guided to remove the parts and place them in the appropriate container. The pass/fail information is downloaded from the MES
system or from a bad mark on the panel. The TS1 software automatically sizes the indicators and combines the pass/fail with the image of the panel. This option is avail- able for all TopRouters currently running TS1 software. The off-line depaneling system TopRouter is used to
depanel a high variety of products with low-to-medium batch sizes. This flexible usage is guaranteed through a quick change of product-specific carriers and the easy re- equipping of the layout tools. Routers and saw blades are at hand and provide the depaneling of the PCB. The TopRouter is also equipped with a turntable al-
lowing loading and unloading during the depaneling process.
