product focus: elemis BIOTEC switching skin back on
Guild News speaks to Noella Gabriel, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Elemis, about their biggest skin care launch since Pro-Collagen…
Who is BIOTEC for?
NG: “An ageing skin or one that has been affected by lifestyle challenges such as stress, lack of sleep and the menopause.”
How does it work?
NG: “BIOTEC literally switches the skin back on, igniting a mineral charge for radiant skin. A potent BIO-ENERGY™ complex of encapsulated Zinc and Copper, combined with a trio of acids and Amber, energises the skin to maintain its natural vitality.”
Tell us more about the new BIO- ENERGY™
Complex? NG: “The Elemis BIO-ENERGY™ Complex
is designed to activate the cells energy system. Every skin cell has its own powerhouse of energy within the Mitochondria of the skin. As we age and depending on our lifestyle choices, this energy depletes. Copper exists naturally in our own skin tissue and is amazing at tissue regeneration. Zinc is a mineral and is key for overall skin health and is also found in every cell in your body. This cocktail stimulates an enzymatic action to target the Mitochondria and kick starts the cell-energy.”
Why did you create this range?
NG: “I have always been fascinated with bioelectricity (the body’s natural signalling process). I wanted to create a system that would turbo-charge the skin from within, delivering true vitality to the complexion. This is ground-breaking technology, where the best of science and the best of nature are harnessed for extraordinary results.”
How is it unique?
NG: “It is designed to work according to individual needs – no two complexions are the same – BIOTEC harnesses adaptagenic energy technology to calculate exactly what your unique skin requires.”
What are the results?
NG: “We always clinically trial our products to prove they have a significant effect on the skin and after Independent Clinical Tests we saw a glucose uptake of up to 27%*.”
