Elemis presents cheque to support women’s aid
Organic company report 50% sales
increase Organic skin care company, Botanicals has experienced its best year ever, seeing 2015 sales more than 50% higher than the previous year, with retail figures up by some 75%. Trade sales were also up by around 40%.
Founded by Wendy Stirling in 2004, Botanicals uses the pure power of plants to provide a full range of face and body care creations that adhere to strict performance and ethical stands and are certified by the Soil Association.
“The Botanicals ethos of producing natural skin care products, using organic ingredients and
processing methods that ensure the vital life-force of the plant isn’t destroyed - coupled with the fact that the entire Botanicals range is accredited by the Soil Association - has always put us in good stead,” says Wendy. “However, such a year- on-year increase in sales is unprecedented for Botanicals and must, in part, be due to growing interest in natural, organic beauty in the UK.

Elemis’ Chief Marketing Officer and Co-Founder Oriele Frank (right) presents the cheque to Women for Women International’s Director of Fundraising and Marketing Shivonne Graham.
Elemis have presented Women for Women International with a cheque for £16,200 to kick off their collaboration and celebrate the launch of the Limited Edition Pro-Collagen Marine Cream Ultra-Rich.
The donation will fund a class of women in Afghanistan in a year- long programme run by the charity, which works with women whose lives have been torn apart by conflict in countries such as Syria, Rwanda, Kosovo and Afghanistan. The organisation helps these female survivors of war reclaim their lives by providing the resources for learning and developing skills that get them and their families out of poverty.
“Elemis is proud to support Women for Women International,” says Oriele Frank, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Elemis. “We’ve always believed that if women have the right tools, there is nothing they can’t achieve when they come together. We are delighted to be raising critical funds and awareness of the charity to help women gain skills to rebuild and better their lives in the face of adversity.”
Shivonne Graham of Women for Women International adds: “At Women for Women International, we are delighted that Elemis is sponsoring a classroom of women in Afghanistan and is on-board to help raise awareness and additional funds through social media activity to support our #SheInspiresMe campaign.”
The Limited Edition Pro-Collagen Marine Cream Ultra-Rich 100ml features a lid engraved with the organisation’s campaign line ‘SheInspiresMe’ as a visible show of support.
