spa news Match of the day

Football legend Kevin Keegan has officially opened the Spa at Ramside, part of Ramside Hall Hotel’s multi million pound investment extension. He unveiled a special plaque at the North East venue, as part of an official opening ceremony in February.

“I’ve been a frequent visitor to Ramside Hall over the years and it just gets better and better,” said Kevin. “The Spa is absolutely amazing, as good as any I’ve seen anywhere in the world.”

The Spa’s features include a hydrotherapy pool, an outdoor vitality pool, five heat experiences and a 25m swimming pool along with a balcony infinity pool, which overlooks the hotel grounds.

“We’re absolutely delighted and honoured that Kevin Keegan agreed to officially open our new Spa,” said John Adamson, Owner of Ramside Hall Hotel.

“The facilities that our Spa offers really are among the best in the region, so it’s great to be able to mark the hotel’s newest addition with the help of such a regional icon.”

CIDESCO launches guide to working abroad CIDESCO has launched its International Guide to Working Abroad.

It aims to advise people of the tasks and decisions that lie ahead for people who may be thinking of taking on a new challenge in a different country, whether moving for a career change, with their partner, or to start out on their own.

The guide draws experience from its own members, as well as those of Steiner’s Head of International Recruitment, Debbie Weaver, and touches on subjects including ‘doing your research’, ‘preparing for culture shock’ and ‘knowing your rights’. As the first in their new ‘Guide Series’, CIDESCO will be compiling further guides over the coming months.

Voya launches in two new Spas

Organic seaweed skin care brand Voya is continuing to spread its name by launching at the newly-opened Isle of Man based Spa, Brightlife (pictured), as well as The Spa at Ashford Castle in Ireland.

Voya and The Spa at Brightlife share a similar ethos, and the brand is thrilled to be selected as the house product for the Spa. Similarly, The Spa at Ashford Castle provides clients with a sanctuary of calm and serenity, with both venues boasting picturesque views.

On their partnership with The Spa at Ashford Castle, Gayle Kelly, Voya’s International Sales Manager commented: “We are delighted for Voya to be part of the prestigious Ashford Castle and Spa. Both Ashford Castle and Voya share the philosophy of delivering a first class Spa experience for all guests – one which is memorable and timeless – and that is what this new and exciting partnership will create.”

Harrogate Spa welcomes ila

Organic Spa and beauty brand, ila, have partnered with luxury hotel, Rudding Park, to provide their products and treatments to the venue’s Harrogate Spa.

Nestled amongst landscape gardens and woodland, Rudding Park Harrogate Spa can now offer their guests a range of ila’s bespoke organic treatments that were curated by ila Founder Denise Leicester. These include the Rudding Park Jewel Ritual, an experience which includes a Jasmine and Mother of Pearl full body polish; the Body Oil for Inner Peace, a Tibetan inspired massage; followed by a Rose Quartz healing facial for rejuvenation. All of these signature treatments will be exclusive to the location.

Kelly-Anne Head, Rudding Park Spa Manager explained: “We want to make sure we offer all our guests the best Spa experience possible and the product ranges we use are an integral part of this experience. We selected ila as it is an exclusive luxury brand which uses ancient healing techniques from around the world harnessing the most potent botanicals for their product ranges and they have a real understanding of the concept of ‘whole wellness’.”
