The Scottish Nail Tech competition returns to Scottish Hair & Beauty for another year, sponsored by ABT and Cuccio.
Taking part in a competition is a great way to build your confidence and have your work critiqued by some of the leading names in UK nails.
“If you think of any Nail Tech that has excelled and made a name in this business it is from competing,” explains nail champion and international judge Denise Wright, who also acts as competition director for the Scottish Nail Tech competition.
“Start with a category you are comfortable with,” says Denise. “If you are new to competitions then start with the Salon Nail Challenge category where you are marked on your technical ability and structure rather than your application. If you have been in the industry a while and are comfortable in pink and white then the Top Tech Competition pink and white category is for you.”
In the event’s biggest year ever, there are nine Pro and four Student categories:

• Student Tech Tip & Overlay Challenge • Student Tech Permanent Polish • Student Boxed Nail Art - Ibiza Theme • Student Snap Shot Challenge - Ibiza Theme Overall Awards will also be presented for Scottish Nail Tech 2016 and Scottish Student Nail Tech 2016.
